San Francisco hot yoga is given this nickname due to the fact that the room is at a temperature of 105 degrees Fahrenheit. As you can imagine, you will sweat profusely at this very high temperature while you are performing yoga. It is believed that this high temperature is very good for you. By keeping the temperature this high your muscles will become warm very fast. When your muscles are warm, it is much less likely that you will cause an injury to your muscles. Your muscles will flow easier when you stretch them and you will be able to stretch even further than if you were in a room at a "normal" temperature.
Another answer I have for why I do yoga is for stress relief. Modern times can be very stressful. It seems like the pace of day-to-day life is accelerating. Dealing with your job, your kids, the phone calls, the crazy schedules, it all adds up to a lot of stress. The meditation involved in yoga truly allows you to focus and unwind. I find yoga to be a great balance to pilates memphis all the stress in my routine. And as you know it's been proven that increased amounts of stress leads to health risks such as heart attack and strokes. So anything you can do to reduce your level of stress is worth its weight in gold.
Yoga allows a person to de-stress and to disconnect from the outside world. They tend to come away feeling happier about themselves and happier about everyday life.
Is it a coincidence that only a fraction of teachers give themselves permission to really enjoy a teaching career without risking burn out or facing financial uncertainties? And have you noticed that most happy yogi/nis teach less, travel the world, get paid handsomely and inspire at least 10 times more than an average mind body haus teacher?
Currently I am in a hot yoga teachers training program. At one point I was an instructor for a Christian yoga alternative program, which was good; however, I wanted greater skill and confidence in this practice. I wanted to know proper form and alignment to prevent injuries. I would have attended a Christian yoga training program but I needed something local as I'm not a very good online learner. I need a classroom and structure.
